A Melody For Murder
Following the sell-out success of A Gamble With Death, the team are back this Autumn with A Melody For Murder. Get ready for a brand new murder mystery treasure hunt that sends teams of intrepid detectives into a web of blackmail, lies and deceit as they try to discover #WhoKilledStellaChord.
Using their smartphones, players must race around the streets of Reading to find hidden evidence, crack cryptic clues and converse with suspicious characters to catch the culprit – before the time runs out.
The game centres around the murder of multi-millionaire singer and long-time diva, Stella Chord, who was rehearsing The Bel Canto Melody for her 100th concert at The Hexagon in Reading. But a lighting rig came crashing down – and she never reached the final bars. Police suspect the dramatic finish to the piece wasn’t quite what she had in mind.
A Melody For Murder is 3-hour live-action treasure hunt with a difference. Imagine a murder mystery, some escape room puzzles, a scavenger hunt, a team of live actors and your smartphone all got together – with a timer. Even more local businesses and iconic Reading locations are in on the action this time round, with clues hidden all around the Town Centre.
This new concept sees players working as solo sleuths or as teams of intrepid detectives searching the streets of Reading against the clock, and uniquely allows them to discover hidden gems around the town, explore Reading’s history and crack the case in an intriguing new way.
A Melody For Murder runs at 12pm and 3pm on Saturday 30th September, Saturday 7th & 14th October. Tickets are £20 from
Queens Walk Plaza
