Beginners’ Family History Course

A series of four workshops designed for those new to researching family history. Where to start, how to progress your research and good research practice are all explained.
The course explores different genealogy websites and looks at the content they offer and which are better for particular kinds of records. It covers civil registration, parish registers, wills, censuses, plus emigration and some overseas records. And it briefly examines benefits and limitations of some of the family history programs available to record your research.

This event is organised by Berkshire Family History Society.

£30 for four weekly sessions
12th, 19th and 26th October
and 2nd November (Members £24)
