Jim Causley live concert of beautiful folk music
Tuesday June 16th 2015 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
All Saints Wokingham
Wokingham, Berkshire

Five times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Jim Causley performs an exciting mixture of traditional and contemporary folk songs including many of his own compositions.
Jim is one of Britain’s most accomplished and widely loved poet/musician with a resonant and evocative voice whose passion about traditional song is infectious and rewarding.
His recording debut came in 2005 as part of Martyn Wyndham-Read’s ‘Song Links II’ project (Fellside) which linked English Traditional songs with their American variants. He collaborated with the rebellious Essex ceilidh band ‘Mawkin’ and has recorded with several respected artists including Show of Hands, John McCusker and David Rotheray of Beautiful South fame. Causley’s latest solo project was creating an album of poems written by his relative and celebrated Cornish poet, the late Charles Causley
This concert is part of Wokingham Summer Music Festival 13-21 June – Come and enjoy an inspiring feast of sight and sound in the exceptional space of the historic town-centre church of All Saints’ Wokingham
