The end of the First World War and its aftermath – Mike Cooper
Mike Cooper is a local historian, author and popular speaker. The Great War didn’t end on 11th November 1918. What was signed was only an Armistice, and peace treaties had to wait until 1919. Mike Cooper looks at how and why the War ended and at the immediate consequences for Europe and places as far afield as the Samoa and Tanzania.
This talk is organised by Berkshire Family History Society.
